The CELI "Certificato di Conoscenza della Lingua Italiana" (Certificate of Knowledge of Italian Language) is an internationally recognized qualification of the Italian language, offered by the "Università per Stranieri di Perugia".
This qualification is for those foreigners wanting to validate their Italian fluency.
The CELI examinations are accepted as an official qualification by the Italian Ministry of Education and Research and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is also recognized by the Greek and the Turkish government as linguistic certifications for public jobs. In addiction the CELI certifications are also used by foreigners to get entrance into any Italian university or higher education institution, as well as public jobs in Italy.
There are six different levels of examinations:
CELI Impatto – A1
Il CELI Impatto attesta la conoscenza della lingua italiana al livello A1 del Common European Framework.
CELI 1 – A2
Il CELI 1 attesta la conoscenza della lingua italiana al livello A2 del Common European Framework.
CELI 2 – B1
Il CELI 2 attesta la conoscenza della lingua italiana al livello B1 del Common European Framework.
CELI 3 – B2
Il CELI 3 attesta la conoscenza della lingua italiana al livello B2 del Common European Framework.
CELI 4 – C1
Il CELI 4 attesta la conoscenza della lingua italiana al livello C1 del Common European Framework.
CELI 5 – C2
Il CELI 5 attesta la conoscenza della lingua italiana al livello C2 del Common European Framework.
Every year there are many sessions of exams for all different levels.

Before you do any of these exams, you should spend much time working with a good teacher who can help you to pass these tests, suggesting you the best books to use and the best exercises to fill in.
If you wish to obtain any CELI Certifications, you need a help to study and practice your Italian with a good native teacher, who is also able to help you with some specific exercises. In the last years I have been working with many students who have passed these examinations with the highest scores.

What is your C.E.F.R. Level of Italian?
A1 - A2 - B1 - B2 - C1 - C2
You can study Italian via Skype whatever CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for languages) level you have. Don't worry if you already speak Italian or you have never studied it, Skype lessons are useful both for learning and improving a new language.
IMPORTANT: Don't worry about your age, everybody is able to learn a new language at any age. Of course, young people learn better a new language, but it is never too late to learn Italian! If you don't believe me... let's try it!
